Recent Works 2023

What I strive to bring to my work is joy, a love of color,and a sense of realistic form. My works are based in photography and captured in oil paint. Throughout the creative process I collect moments. The moment when I find my image. The process of creating the composition. The initial drawing and planning, mixing of colors, addition of brushstrokes and layers. And finally the joy when I step back from the painting and see how all the elements come together. Painting allows me to be truly present in my life. I hope you find a moment of joy, calm or beauty when viewing my work.
